Advertising calendars
Advertising calendars have a mixture of public relations goodwill and advertising reminder value and so may be used for either or both purposes. They last a year, are displayed prominently and consulted repeatedly. Some advertisers may reproduce individual calendars, while others take advantage of stock calendars on which they can have their name and business details overprinted. Advertising calendars can take the following forms:
Pictorial . Probably the most popular advertising calendar, the pictorial calendar can be of one, six or twelve sheets with a similar number of pictures. For some trades, the glamour girl calendar may be appropriate, for others, landscapes, paintings or cartoons may be preferred. For international use, months can be printed in more than one language in a pictorial calendar.
Block calendar. This kind of calendar consists of a block of tear-off dates and is a common advertising calendar.
Digital calendars . Possibly combined with a clock and usually electric or electronic, the digital calendar can look modern and efficient.
Scroll calendars . Hanging vertically like a scroll, this type of advertising calendar displays all the dates of the year.
