Video has become a most versatile medium, emerging as an alternative mode of domestic television and appearing in various ways at the point-of-sale to demonstrate, for example, how a new product works or give ‘film' presentations of holiday attractions. For instance, when the new version of the Alfa-Romeo 164 was introduced, buyers of the original model were sent a video, which demonstrated the new one.
