Free logo design

Many companies or individuals are not willing to pay a professional logo creation agency to take care of their visual business identity and they are looking for someone to design free logo samples for them. One of the best ways of getting a free logo design is to look on graphic design forums and find young freelance artists. The logo design business usually requires an extensive portfolio, and many college students or even high school students are willing to work for free in order to gain experience. Other ways of getting free logo design are also available: posting on freelance sites and asking for a logo, placing ads in online papers, or contacting students from a nearby art school.

There's a price to. free logo design

While the logo design is free, the quality of the logo might not be up to professional or at least semi-professional standards. People who design free logos are doing this as a learning process, not as a skill they master. This means that your logo might look childish or even quite stupid. But hey - it's a free logo ! While a website grandma has on sewing tricks might do well with a simple and average logo designed for free, even the smallest of companies needs to start off on the right foot. This doesn't mean that you shouldn't look for someone to design free logo concepts for you. but just do not have any high expectations.

Quality Vs. Price

A professional logo design company offers its clients several mockups of a logo, usually around 5-10 different logo samples. The client can then choose the version that is closest to his or her expectations, or combine several of the samples in a complete logo. Of course, this comes for a price, ranging anywhere from $80 to $700. Free logo design is, of course, more convenient from a financial point of view, but you cannot have any high demands from the logo provider. Putting your entire visual identity and business image in the hands of an inexperienced logo designer will probably cost you more on the long run!
